Telecom users may soon get option of paying per second (ET)
Indian telecom operators may soon be asked to compulsorily give their customers the option of paying tariff based on usage per second instead of the current per minute pulse, sector regulator TRAI said today.
BSNL consortium begins talks to acquire Kuwait's Zain Telecom (ET)A consortium comprising India's telecom PSUs BSNL and MTNL, among others, today said it has started negotiations for acquiring control of Kuwait's biggest phone company Zain Telecom that has presence in 24 countries.
MTNL slips nearly 4% on Zain bid plan (BS)
MTNL is trading down 1.7% or Rs 1.60 points at Rs 89. The stock opened at Rs 89, and has hit a high of Rs 91 and a low of Rs 88 during the day. MTNL and BSNL have jointly expressed interest in the acquisition of a majority stake in Kuwait's biggest phone company, Zain.
