New telcos to pay 3% of revenues as 3G spectrum fee (ET)
Mobile phone firms, which will provide only 3G services, must share 3% of their revenue with the government as spectrum usage fee while incumbent operators entering the 3G space will have to share an additional 1% of their revenue for using these airwaves.

Russia's MegaFon has announced the outcome of a 3G network tender, with Nokia Siemens Networks supplying at least 60% of 3G Node -B Base Stations. MegaFon says that it shall decide upon the territory of the equipment supply within Russia at the same time.

Etisalat upgrades mobile instant messaging service (C-N)
