DoT to take back 3G spectrum if roll-out targets are not met (HBL)
In order to prevent operators from hoarding spectrum, the Department of Telecom has decided that it will take back the 3G and broadband radio waves if roll-out obligations are not met.Not wanting to take any chances with non-serious players bidding for 3G.

Telecom Minister A Raja said any deviation by lower rung officers from Government's policy decision on spectrum allocation would be dealt with."I have made it clear, any deviation at the lower level, after the policy decision was taken by the Government.
